Meet the team
Who we are
Solidarity for Fashion is a non-profit organization aiming to raise awareness on conscious consumers’ habits and to educate youth in adopting sustainable fashion lifestyles.
Our team comprises volunteers, passionate about making a positive change, helping you make fashion choices that will improve the quality of your clothes, as well as help you become more environmentally friendly!
We believe that we, as consumers, have so much power to make a change, as long as we are careful of what we buy.
But how can one do that? Information out there is so vast that you might feel lost and frustrated, and we get that!
The need to learn about the impact of fashion and how to live a more sustainable life led us in creating Solidarity for Fashion.
What’s the difference between ethical, sustainable and slow fashion? We are here to help you demystify all those terms you come across.
We love connecting people who share the same concerns about fashion, sharing knowledge about sustainability topics, and being part of a large community that wants to make a difference.
That’s why we never miss a chance to organize an event with professionals from the sustainable fashion industry, or a swap party to exchange our clothes and chat about our eco-friendly dreams!
Our vision is to be the cause of change in the consumption habits of our fellow citizens, breaking down the fast fashion mentality and bringing to the fore alternative entrepreneurship in the field of fashion, such as small, local businesses and second hand shops. For us clothes are not disposable, they can be worn again, recycled, and reused in unique ways.

Social Media Manager
Nafsika Machaira
Sustainable Fashion and social media are my two true passions.
I've been working in the fashion industry for a few years now, and even had some experience as a model, but it wasn't until recently that I became interested in ethical fashion and sustainability.
I joined Solidarity for Fashion in 2020, and it's been a life-changing experience. As the social media manager, I've seen firsthand the impact that this amazing team has had on the fashion industry and the world around us. I'm constantly inspired by my team members' knowledge and passion for sustainability, and their unwavering dedication to creating a more equitable and just world.
For me, sustainability is not just a buzzword - it's a way of life. I believe that every little action counts, and that we all have the power to make a positive difference in the world. And the best part? It doesn't have to be hard, or stressful, or overwhelming. It's all about finding joy in the journey, and letting sustainability flow through us spontaneously.

Helping people unleash their full potential is what I strive for.
I am an HR professional with a passion for learning and development. I have been a part of Solidarity for Fashion since day one, as a founding member and Learning and Development Trainer. My goal is to help people unleash their full potential by conducting interactive workshops and team building activities that bring out the best in them.
I am a firm believer in the power of education and training to create positive change. That's why I work hard to provide high-quality, pluralistic training for all of our volunteers, so that they can develop new skills, build their confidence, and take action to make a difference in their lives and in their community.
Being a part of Solidarity for Fashion has been an incredible journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a passionate and dedicated team. Together, we are making a real impact on the fashion industry and on the world around us.
